Workers on the Rise: State of Labor in San Antonio
For decades, low pay and workplace abuse have persisted in San Antonio despite workers’ efforts to dignify their labor conditions and fight for their rights. The labor panel brought local workers and organizers to discuss how they have resisted these oppressive conditions and invited the San Antonio community and the public to learn how to become involved in the city’s labor movement.

Grassroots Feminist and Farmworker Struggles // Las Luchas de las Feministas populares y lxs Trabajadores Agrícolas
The community platíca took place online with our post-doc fellows Dr. Carolina Arango Vargas and Dr. José Villagrán, where they discussed their research topics, the regions they work within, and the exploration of their work for their families and the activism in their home regions of Columbia and the South Texas Borderlands. Spanish translation was provided by the RGV Language Justice Collective.
